BEWARE of the Fair Guide
Reed Exhibitions and The National Hardware Show do NOT support the Fair Guide -- it is NOT affiliated with Reed Exhibitions or NHS. Please be aware that you may receive solicitations for the Fair Guide from Construct Data, its publisher, which use the name of The National Hardware Show – do not be fooled. Construct Data currently operates out of Slovakia (it has previously operated out of Austria and Germany).

Reed Exhibitions and The National Hardware Show also do NOT support the Expo-Guide -- it is NOT affiliated with Reed Exhibitions or NHS. Please be aware that you may receive solicitations for the Expo-Guide from Commercial Online Manuals, its publisher, which use the name of The National Hardware Show – again, do not be fooled. The Expo-Guide currently operates out of Mexico.

For further warnings on the Fair Guide and the Expo-Guide, please check out www.stopecg.org (the website was set up originally to deal with the European City Guides, but it now addresses the Fair Guide and Expo-Guide as well as several other similar matters).

And please remember – the only directories and guides affiliated with Reed Exhibitions are those published by Reed Exhibitions, including the official show directories. If you have any doubts about a directory/guide solicitation using the NHS name (for example, if the solicitation requires payment made to an address in a foreign country), please contact an NHS salesperson ASAP.

National Hardware Show & Reed Exhibitions are not affiliated with the "Registry of World Business" The International Association of Exhibitions and Events warns exhibitors of The World Business Guide, a product of International Directories Group, Ltd. of Madrid, Spain. The company invites businesses to list themselves in its database. The form used to gather contact information says in part, "(Updating is Free of Charge)" in boldface type.

However, embedded in a lengthy paragraph labeled "Order" - in very small type - is a binding three-year agreement that automatically renews every year for another year at a cost of € 995 (about $1,455). Dating and signing the Data Control form will bind you to the agreement.

The National Hardware Show warns exhibitors to exercise caution when dealing with or responding to solicitations from unofficial contractors offering services for the show. Each year in the months just prior to the National Hardware Show, unofficial contractors target show exhibitors with email and faxes in attempt to solicit orders for show services (i.e., carpet, advertising, shipping, etc.). Some of these solicitations may bear the National Hardware Show name and logo with the intent of confusing or misleading exhibitors into thinking that the contractors sending them are associated with the Nation al Hardware Show. Exhibitors should report misleading or deceptive solicitations they may receive from unofficial contractors to National Hardware Show Management.

The National Hardware Show maintains a list of Official Show Vendors. Exhibitors are not required to use Official Show Vendors, but please be aware that outside contractors must be approved by the show and may require exhibitors to pay additional costs. Exhibitors may also incur other financial obligations in the event their designated contractors fail to perform.

DIY Network Product Submission

This is your opportunity to have your products featured on the hit television show I Want That. The DIY Network will be filming at the National Hardware Show and your product could be filmed for the special National Hardware Show episode (I Want That – National Hardware Show Special) airing this summer (air time subject to change).

Rubbermaid and Irwin Tool Product Submission

Irwin Tools is seeking new Power Tool Accessories and Hand Tools.

The National Hardware Show and InventionHome are pleased to offer ALL National Hardware Show 2013 Exhibitors the chance for a face-to-face meeting with Rubbermaid and Irwin Tools (both part of Newell-Rubbermaid) to pitch your products. If you have a patent protected invention suitable for either company, this could be the opportunity of a lifetime. Both companies are seeking new products to commercialize and are open to outside innovation.

Simply submit your product for consideration by Rubbermaid or Irwin Tools at http://www.submitmyinvention.com/submit/rubbermaid-hardware. You will be informed before the show starts on May 7th if you were one of the lucky ones selected!

NOTE: when removing products from the Show floor, please be prepared to give the security guard your personal business card. This is for security purposes.

Press Kits

Ship your exhibitor press kits to the Show in advance. Download shipping instructions & labels here. You will use the "Show Site Meeting Rooms" Label and under exhibitor name write, "Press Office Room N242."If you do not ship press kits in advance, please drop them off in the Press Office, Room N242 anytime between 10am and 4pm on both Sunday, May 5th and Monday, May 6.

Press Bins are first come first serve. It is recommended that you ship or deliver up to 100 press kits for the show.
